Welcome to My Bowel Health
My Bowel health provides a clinical nurse specialist service providing education and medical treatment for bowel conditions, including Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis and also Irritable bowel syndrome – with the aim being to empower the person with either condition to manage their health and achieve in life, simultaneously.
Marian is an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with nearly 20 years experience in the field. In her daily clinics, Marian spends a lot of time supporting those whom are newly diagnosed and knows from her experience how overwhelming it can be for many when they receive a long-term bowel diagnosis. As a RN (Registered Nurse) Prescriber Marian can also provide medical treatment to manage these conditions.
Having access to the appropriate information at the initial phase or indeed at any phase during illness is key to allowing the individual person to be better informed and understand what is happening for them. Therefore Marians' purpose is to provide a tailored service to each person to allow for the best understanding of their condition, incorporating information on the treatments available (medical, surgical & alternative therapies) as well as the importance of lifestyle (exercise, stress management, understanding the gut-brain axis) in improving their overall outcomes.
My Bowel Health seeks to provide the knowledge and tools to individuals with bowel conditions to be able to maintain the balance of life, disease and optimum health.
The intention is that the condition is part of you but does not define you.
